Interaction between Notes & Excel97

Hiya all

I am currently developing a system where excel reads information sent as .xls attachments on mail to Notes and then presents that info in a more user friendly form, records transaction notes and mails back to the sender the results of the process.

I've cracked most of it with help, sending the mail is sorted, even formatting it. I can also extract the attachments of the mails directly from the appropriate shared inbox without having to switch to notes.

2 problems left. There will be several users of this system and I want their spreadsheet to only access the mails that are in their folder within the shared Notes db so that an admin can parcel out the work. So far, I can only extract from the main inbox.
I would also like to move the mails once they are completed from the individual folders to a 'completed' folder. This can be done in Notes by the users, especially with various prompts, but the computer literacy of the users is appalling so I would like to automate as much as possible.

I've answered these all myself. Well, I got the answers elsewhere.
