Hi, I have a layer 3 switch (3com 7700).
I want to segment the switch so fibre port 2 (1/1/2) is in 1 VLAN and fibre port 3 is in another (1/1/3). This is purely for broadcast reasons at the moment. I have port 2 assigned to VLAN 2 & Port 3 assigned VLAN 3. What are the commands to allow traffic to be routed between the two?

I believe I have to enable ip routing and possibly RIP? Can anyone please shed some light on this?

Many thanks.
Steven
