Hello.
The document, named "IP telephony deployment guide" tells us, that in case of inter-PN call of s8700 ip-connect we must have one dsp-resource at media processor board in each PN, involved at that call. And if there's not such resource, that call cannot be made, because of impossibility to make an TDM-IP-TDM voice convertation.

But also, there's a report "list measurements ip dsp-resource" with two columns: "In Reg Peg" and "Out Reg Peg". So, is it also true, that dsp-resource for the call can be taken not only from the particular PN, but even from other network region?
I don't understand: is there any contradiction here, or not?

The issue here is if you have a call coming into PN1 and the extension is in PN2, then it will use one port from each medpro card. This is a realy pain. I had to set users in PN2 with a different time of day chart in COR so when they dial dial, the use the ISDN card on PN2. Its is a lot of work but this reduced the usage on the medpros. Hope this helps..
