Intenet Explorer 6.0

Im having problems with internet explorer. It wont let me open another browser so i can browse a differnt webpage at the same. It will open the new link in the same browser that currently is open. Ive tried file new window but that doesnt do it aswell.

Howdy:

Start IE and then go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced.. make sure "Reuse Windows for Launching Shortcuts" is not checked.

This option is located under the "Browsing" heading of the ADVANCED tab..

Don't bother trying to uninstall IE6 as it is integrated into Windows and you can't just uninstall it. Not sure what the other expert was thinking when he/she suggested it.

Murray,

I think you're getting the early days of Win95 confused with newer versions of IE. You can completely remove IE6 for troubleshooting purposes (mainly to reinstall). However, it is not recommended that you leave it off your system. Here's what M$ has to say:

Repair option (from add/remove programs in control panel) for IE usually solves this problem.
