Intellisense odd behavior

I've noticed that in some of my (Access2003) databases, the Intellisense starts acting really strange. For instance, after typing a period and then the first letter of the method, the intellisense will start to show the list of methods, then after 2 seconds, disappear and NOT complete the method. It will also decide I'm taking too long to type a line and suddenly add an end quote and move the cursor back several spaces.

Does anyone know what's causing this odd behavior and how to fix it?

Same problem - only thing I can think of is that I tried changing form sections to custom colors. I have changed them back to regular colors, but could this be a holdover?
