Should this work w/ my Linksys WRT310N Wireless-N Gigabit Router? If so, why won't my laptop w/ XP connect?

I've given the PC access to my secured network. When I click connect to the designated network it says aquiring an IP and just sits there trying over and over. I even tried assigning a static IP and it would show the connection as up & down and I was unable to ping the router.

Are you able to connect to the router with another laptop running XP? Also, you might look at upgrading your laptop software and possibly the firmware on your router.

My other PC & laptop use vista. My XP laptop is a company laptop. I am able to connect to someones unsecure network in the neighborhood at it seem to be using a Linksys unit although I'm not sure which.
