I was having problems with my modem being slow. My intenet provider suggested that I download and update my drivers in order to see if that could be the problem. Now I try to connect to the internet and the error is message that comes up is windows can not detect modem. I tried to troubleshoot by making sure the modem is working, and enabled. When running diagnostics the computer appears to be working fine. The modem is enabled and indicates no problems. Any suggestions, should I buy a new modem? I also tried a reinstall, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions appreaciated. I am using windows xp.
