Hello everyone, thanks in advance for any help.
I have built a 2x250gb S-ATA mirror on an Intel 945Gtp motherboard,
I do not understand how the integrity of data on one drive is preferred/maintained over the other.
Can anyone explain the Following
1. How does the software do a scandisk on both drives as it only sees one?Is it the case that only one drive is tested and the controller replicates everything onto the other drive?
2. What happens if a physical bad cluster is found on one drive but not on the other ?
3. What scan disk should I use.. The windows version or the dos version ?(its on NTFS-so I think chkdsk?)
4. Any specific switches I should use ?
Confused...
