I was wondering if anyone knew why and how a channel on a dialogic card hangs. We have a hunt group set up on an 8 port and channels hang sometimes. The only way to detect that the channel is indeed hung is to call that extension directly and get a RNA. The only way to release them is to reboot the server. Any help would would be greatly appreciated.

does your switch kick out bug42xx codes when this happens? If so, may want to check with vendor for a patch.

I am not sure how to view those error codes, would that anything to do with the BGD?

hi,i have the same problem on a new hms400 install, some ports froze and the only way to put it back to work is to reboot the hms.im waiting for an answer from ctas.

What install are you doing with the HMS 400?

do a history dump on your switch.
If you use hyperterm to connect to your switch, connect, login, then click the transfer tab, select capture, delegate file to save at press.
Now go to ld 22
prt
ahst
enter
enter
once dump is complete, look at the file you saved, and look for any and all codes. post them here.
good luck

we just install an opt11 with an hms400 12 ports in a bestwestern here in montreal.

Is there a buffer of some sort on the dialogic cards to help in times of high traffic or is there a setting that can be changed to help traffic run smoother....
Thanks

Is there a setting for a channel to adjust to make the channel come back "on Hook" after a call has ended in the dialogic card or even on the M1?

Thanks

When I had dialogic cards, I used lineside T1 cards, that provided disconnect supervision for the line. Basically the port would tell the card that the call has finished/disconnected. How do you have the lines configured now?

I would have to check on what cards are used, our issue we are having is that sometimes the dialogic card is not sending a MW ON or MW OF command to the M1 (or so we suspect because MWL are not coming on or going off when they are supposed to). We have changed the pauseTM setting from default to around 70 or 80 to speed up the commands because there is a lot of traffic but that is all so far what we could come up with....

the cards are nt8d02ab rls 3.0 and nt8d02ea rls 4.0

We found through testing that if a MW on/of command is sent to a dummy ACDN or a extension that is not programmed on the M1, it will end of leaving the channel in a "busy" state, then all the commands sent after this happens will not work.
