Hi I hope some one can help how do I find out what Celleron processor to use I did have a 600mghz. pent. III
but according to this article which describes my problem to a T. I need to switch to a Celleron processor.

>>>any help would be great thanks.

Depends on whether your Pentium III is a Slot 1 module or a Socket 370 module. I believe all Celerons are Socket 370. If yours is a Slot 1 you will need an adapter to put the Celeron CPU on then plug it into the Slot 1 on the motherboard. Some boards had both a Slot 1 and a Socket 370 on the board so jumper settings may need to be changed.

Your memory should be usable, support PC66.

Do be sure to read any manual that came with the motherboard for a list of processors supported. Finding a 600MHz Celeron may be the difficult part.

It is socket 370 thanks how high of a Celeron can go to, to make it easier to find?
