integration of XML ,ORACLE+SQL SERVER

hi,
Is there any way Oracle,sqlserver can talk to each other.The only way perhaphs is XML but then if XML file is generated from oracle source ,how can it be passed on to SQL SERVER or vice versa

This is actually a very common requirement, given the popularity of both database products. SQL Server's approach is to create a "linked server" inside SQL Server which allows you to query an Oracle db as if it were actually SQL Server. Oracle uses a product called Transparent Gateway for SQL Server. There may be other approaches that also work.
