Integration Manager - Purchase Ledger

I am trying to use integration manager to transfer data directly from excel onto the Purchase Ledger within great Plains - both in terms of recognising the invoice and subsequently recording the payment. I have only very limited experience with Integration Manager so any help in setting up the sources would be great?
