Integration IP Office and ACT

Once upon a time Nortel had what they called their Productivity Suite which with the use of a piece of hardware connected between computer and phone system allowed the user to originate call from computer screen...the Nortel phone would go off hook in speaker mode...and call is made. The software only worked through Windows XP. Is the IP Office capable of anything like that?

Yes, it is called tapi...

TAPI used to work with Outlook. One-X portal is another option but thats a full blown service with chat and phone directory that will require an additional license.
