Integrating with Micros 9700 POS

Hi,

I am trying to integrate some proprietary software with Micros to perform some of the more basic functions such as:

- Create new bill
- Existing Bill Retrieval
- Add/remove bill items
- Add partial/full payment to bill
- Print

I understand that Micros keep the API fairly close to their chest, but I need to develop the alpha version of the software as proof of concept before the client is willing to shell out large chunks of cash for the Micros license.

Is there a scaled down API or development tool that's openly available that can be used for early project development.

3700 has a more powerfull API then 9700.

In 9700 you will be restricted to using SIM scripting to communicating with your custom DLL's.

I suggest actually contacting Micros. If they know that they potentially have a big sale they are likely to set you up with a demo system where you can develop your proof of concept.

Hi CathalMF,

Thank you for your response. We have access to a demo system to test the product on, however the interfacing is still the sticking point at the moment.

Do you know of any companies that can help out with software development for this sort of integration?
