Relatively novice Authorware user. Need help keeping background music playing through multiple frames. Can anyone help? Thanks

Try putting the audio icon in the opening pane of the framework icon that you are using. Then under the "Timing" tab of the audio icon properties, set the Concurrency to "Concurrent" (instead of "Wait until done").

Appreciate the advice but still having difficulty. I placed the sound icon above the framework and as the first icon (opening pane) in the framework, trying both perpetual and concurrent, and still no luck. Anywhere in that area that I put it, it starts that file with the music. But the instant I click my next button to move to another frame, the music stops and will not restart. Any other advice?

If you have a sound associated with the button that you click to advance to another frame, it would stop the audio from playing across frames. This is a limitation of the PC architecture (one .wav file at a time).
