I apologize if this is the wrong location for this question but I just had to ask. I use a Linksys router/switch/WAP which is good for my laptop with a Linksys NIC. It works great. I dont actually have a network set up with another computer, but, I wanted to know if it is possible to connect a wired print server to the physical router, and still be able to use it from my wireless laptop? Aside from the technical kinks involved, does this theoretically work?

The wired and wireless LAN ports on the router create an integrated network for you.

I see no reason it should not work.

Second note, if the wired print server allows you to set a static IP, or use DHCP, your life will be simpler.

good to know. The print server will also be a Linksys model, the PSUS4 to be exact. I dont really need a wireless print server when it comes to home use versus cost, but I would nevertheless like to integrate my printer to the network, and its a reasonable price in doing so. Just wanted some expert advice. Thanks.

PSUS4 can work well, but call linksys before purchasing. Not all USB printers will work with it.
