My understanding, from reading ALEX BC12, is that when a user calls the IV from an inside extension they have to enter in their mailbox number. Can someone out there with IV verify this? If it's true, is auto login in the works?
Don't have an IV system here but I believe that depends on the extension they are calling from.
if own extension then it's just the password. if from another extension i think they have to hit # and follow voice prompts to enter their own mailbox number then password.
Even if auto login does come along i'd not initiate it as there would be potential confidentiality problems.
From extension with mailbox, wanting to listen messages of other mailbox-user:
If from another extension (who has mailbox) i think they have to hit # and follow voice prompts to enter their own mailbox number then password.
From extension without mailbox, wanting to listen messages of mailbox-user:
"When you are calling to the IV system from an internal extension not recognized as a user's mailbox, or an external public telephone, the IV system will prompt:
Enter your mailbox number.
You shall then dial the wanted mailbox number (normally your directory number). The IV system will prompt:
Enter your security code. "
