Hi,

I've currently got (and working):-

D-Link 604+ Wireless Modem/Router

But I've added a Web Server and placed it in my loft but can't get a signal from the D-Link, even being only 30~ feet from the device (a phone is near the device but that's not the problem! The the electric meter etc is). The server is using the Belkin 54G PCI Wireless Network Card.

So!

I bought a Belkin 54G Wireless Modem/Router and although I have it connected, it isn't reliable at all. So it's going back! To clarify, if I have the Firewall running, I can't surf, if it's off I can, the Wireless isn't reliable and the thing locks up!

My question is:-

Do I go for a faster all-in-one package, stay with my current D-Link or what? I've got 2 Alacatel Speed Touch ADSL modems, got wires where needed and Belkin Adapters where needed.

What do you guys recommend?

This is a one day only question as I will be returning it to PC World tonight and getting my money back!

Thanks for any help/advice in advance.

Cheers,
Carl.

Hi,

I've returned back to my 604+ and life is sweet again. I would of liked to increase my LAN speed but I will live with it!

All I can say is stay clear of the Belkin 54G Wireless ADSL Modem Router!

Cheers,
Carl.
