I am trying to perform a fresh reload ASA 6.0 to a Windows 10 PC and receive error "Site Administration is currently running. Please close the application"

Any suggestion to resolve this issue?

sounds like you should close the application via task manager

avayaguy23,

Yes we checked the task manager. We now think the problem is due to an upgrade to Windows 11 20H2. Time to move all administration to System Manager.

.... yea good luck in getting Avaya to support Windows 11. Check back in 2-5 years.

Meh, Avaya officially doesn't support ASA anymore anyhow so even in a couple of years they still won't support it. Administration via SMGR is the way to go officially and is fully supported. That said there are some damn handy things in ASA and as soon as they bump a work machine to Windows 11 I will be playing with it to try to get it to run for my own selfish reasons. I believe the version that worked best on Win10 was 6.0.07 SP13.01 if you want to try that.

You could try running it in compatibility mode on win11

Biglebowskis Razor - with all things being equal if you still can't find the answer have a shave and go down the pub.
