The message 'Could not initialize BDE', 'Insufficient shared memory available' shows when starting Paradox 9.0 Runtime.

The application runs on a Local network with XP on two machines and Win98 on two machines.

We have also installed Netbeui in order to increase speed.

Do anyone have a solution?

safirlaila,

You may need to set the Application Compatibility properties for Paradox. For more information, please see and which may help resolve the problem without messing around with BDE memory settings.

(I don't disagree with the advice on bdesupport, however, I've found that you may not always need to adjust BDE's memory settings to resolve this error.)

Hope this helps...
