Insufficient Privledges Netbuilder Router

I have a Superstack II Netbuilder Router. I connect through the console port via a serial cable. I can logon as root and admin with no password, yet it always says my privledges are just user. Any idea why?

Hi,
To input changes you have to be netmanager.
you type se priv=net
then asks fior psswd
~I assume you don't know the psswd, therefore:

boot up the router or if already booted using a non conductive pin press the switch(located on left hand side, you'll see a round hole.
This gives you access to the you can say debug console,
type cl
and input ip addresses, mask when all done come back to main menu.
type xd

make sure your tftp server is running

type ?
gives you menu
type nb

router boots off network
enter router and type df
will show directory structure
fine file system
and type rf system
reboot
you will have no manager psswd or you can download the image again - if easier

Hi, worker99. Where can I find documentation about User and Diagnostics Command Menu. I erased primary and secondary boot.68k, by accident, of router 3C8222. Your procedure works in my case too.

Hi, all

Easiest way to clear unwanted password and get full access to router:

1. Power on
2. Enter System Monitor (press switch located on left side of router - round hole)
3. use command: rf /primary/system
It will erase system information and password file form flash memory.
4. reboot router

you should login witout problems
username: root
password: <no password - push enter>
