Instructions on how to remove Secure Multimedia Controller from CS1000

Has anyone removed the Secure Multimedia Controller from a CS1000 PBX. We are upgrading to 7.6 and need to remove these. They are connected to the same E Lan and T Lan the SS and CS are but I can't find where in the configuration of the PBX that it points to the SMC to direct the IP Traffic to them so they can encrypt the phones. Once we are on 7.6 there are not needed plus they are discontinued as well which means they are know longer supported..

Never done one but just looked at the manuals and dont think there is any config on the CS1k the SMC just sits between the Phones and the Sig Servers, all the config is on the SMC as far as I can see.
