I don't know if this is the proper forum for this but I am hoping someone can help me. I am trying to use the Installshield app bundled with VC++6.0 to produce a distributed app off of a VC++6.0 program I had produced. I did project wizard and did a media build and exported the media files to two 3.5 disks. When I go to install the app on another PC the installation goes fine but when the user tries to run the application an error message pops up that the application can't locate the following two files:

mfc42d.dll
msvcrt.dll

I am following all of the steps in the installshield Project wizard (as far as I can tell). Does someone have a suggestion about what I am doing wrong? Thanks for all help in advance.

try to install mfc DLLs togever with your application. If you want your application to work without theese DLLs link the project statically(it means use mfs as statically linked library) John Fill
