Installing WinXP Pro with IE 5.5

I have a friend who wants to uninstall IE 6 and replace it with IE 5.5 Can this be done? Has anybody installed WinXP Pro without IE6?

Alternatively, is there a way to make IE6 look and taste like IE5.5?

To uninstall IE6

You can then install IE5.5 from the internet.
