I know this makes me sound like a "n00b" but I wondered, Do i need to do anything special to install windows 95? Windows 98 is having a boot-up error, and im at the library so i probably wont be back fer a while.
You'll probably need to run fdisk and delete partitions on the hard drive. There may be incompatibilites between the filesystem types. Then create the partition you plan to use with the fdisk of the same version you are planning to install.

I didn't want to f-disk it and loose all teh files, I think im just gunna get a new computer and load the old hardrive on as a slave and salvage my old files

TT4U is asking because some versions of 95 can't see drives that were fdisked with certain versions of 98.
But if 98 was an upgrade to 95 then the same version that originally created the drive should still be able to see it.
