Currently running XP pro and Im thinking about installing Windows 2K Pro. I have a Local Hardrive (C) that is about 32.9GB of free space and another Drive (F) which I created with Partition Magic is about 19.4GB free. Now what should I do? Just dump the Drive F and have the 19.4GB added back on the (C) drive?

Or how would I do a clean install which I think would be the best.

Defiler2,

Depends on what you want in the end. If you want to use both WinXP and W2K you can just boot from the W2K cd and make the system multi-boot (make sure the new installation goes to the F-drive to prevent problems). If you want to use only W2K you need to format since you can't downgrade Windows to an older version. It's up to you if you want your disk as one drive or keep the two partitions you have now; Windows doesn't care. I'd keep the two partitions and make the F-drive FAT32 so you can always access that one in case of OS troubles.

If I make the Drive F FAT32 that means there wont be any security features as with NTFS. Thats would be the problem.

Now what if I wanted to install only 2000 clean?

You're right, if you keep the F drive FAT32, there's no security on it. I always keep at least one partition in FAT32, just because it's nice to have a ghost on or to be able to access at least something if you need to boot from floppy.
If you want to install 2000 clean, just boot from the cd and it'll give you the chance to format the C partition at the beginning of the setup. You can do whatever you want with F after install.

Ok, so when I get a chance to install 2000 clean, what will I have to do when it comes to Partition Configuring part of the installation?

Right now I have 32.9GB of free space on my Local Disk (C). and of course, 19.4GB free on my other Local Disk drive (F)

Now what should I do when that part comes on?

Oh and BTW, I just checked and Im really sorry for the delay.

The (F) Drive is already NTFS
