Installing Win98 system locks at the Windows screen on system reboot during install. Started system in Safe Mode and check Device Manager for conflicts, no conflict. Removed Network adapter from PCI slot and removed in Device Manager still no boot. Uninstalled modem, no change. No other device in system. Video card is built into Motherboard.

Any suggestions, Pls

Memory problems can cause this. I would reinstall from scratch with minimal system and leave the video at VGA until the last. You can also have some problems with the hardware identification. So the reinstall would be 1 item at a time after the system is minimilly installed. Ed Fair
