I am having a problem installing W2k on a IBM Thinkpad 600X.
Everytime I try to install W2K, boot diskettes or CDROM, I get to the blue screen of the setup and the entire process hangs on 'Setup is loading files (Window 2000 Setup)...' and I can not go any further. I have tried different setting on the bios but I still end up in the same place, blue screen. What I figure is that there must be some corruption in the bios that will not allow the setup to occur. If anyone has any suggestions or comments at this point it would really be helpful.

You should try flashing the bios.

Did you Delpart the hard drive to wipe any previous partitions that may be causing installation problems. Just a thought.

Have you checked for bad memory? Most the BSOD I got during installing win2k were memory problems or old hardware.
