We are trying to install VirusScan Enterprise 7.1 on Windows NT 4 workstations running Service Pack 6a.
When we run the install, we get a message stating that the version is only for Win2k, XP, or Windows NT 4 with SP6 or higher.
I have verified that the system is running SP6a using the winver command. I have also re-applied the service pack and tried again to install VirusScan (McAfee's solution), but alas, I get the same issue.
The install works fine on our XP boxes. I also installed 7.0 to an NT 4 workstation, then tried to do an upgrade to 7.1, but, again, the install for 7.1 failed with the same error.
Would anyone have any thoughts on a patch or registry edit that could help us out?
Thanks.
