installing usb tuner

i have tried to install a usb hd tuner but once done the message in driver devices showes other stk7700d not installed any help gratefuly accepted im using acer laptop win7 64 bit

From what I have seen in a Google search, it seems that the driver is very critical..be sure you have the latest 64bit one- check the acer site.

Which Tuner?

post the VEN&DEV number of the device... by right clicking on the device in question, then PROPERTIES, then DETAILS TAB, on the drop down menu choose HARDWARE ID...

If you just recently got the USB tuner, I'm assuming you know what it is. Post the name/model # of the tuner. Or if it came with an install disk, did you try that? Also, go to the tuner's manufacturer website for the most up to date drivers.
