I have pacbell, DSL modem, that goes through USB, how would i install that for Linux?

As far as I know you would need a driver for the particular make of USB xDSL modem that you have. Right now, I don't think much is available. However, if it was an Alcatel then you would be in luck - see .
Even if you don't have an alcatel, have a look at . This will give you a good idea of what you have to do once you've got a driver.
