Installing UMS on existing vmpro 9.1

Installing UMS for the purpose of enabling 1XP. Anything I need to know in terms of the order of things? Do I need to blow away my installation of vmpro then enable iis because iis is already enabled. Also this is a server 2012r2 OS - Enable Direct Metabase Edit - when I right click on the server object in IIS there is no properties. And finally if I don't have to blow away vmpro can I install ums on top of the existing vmpro?
