installing support pack 9 error

When I try installing support pack 9 on a Novell 4.2 SP6a server, I get the below error. (The file does exist) I get more of these errors if I skip this file during the install. Is there a recommended procedure for installing support packs or any fix?


File "sys:\system\aurp.nlm" cannot be read.
Error: Error code 131 (83 hex). Install 4.2-242

i am also getting the below error in the server log.

Severity = 6 Locus = 2 Class = 20
Compressed file SYS:/SYSTEM/AURP.NLM is corrupted and unrecoverable

i rebuilt the server with compression disabled on the sys vol and the support pack installed with no errors.
