Installing SQL2000 on Win2k3 Appliance Edition

I am trying to install SQL 2000 Server Standard on Dell PowerVault 745 running Win2k3 server Appliance Edition.

I receive an error during installation: "Cannot convalidate the product key number"
I check the product key more times and it is correct and valid.

It is an OS version problem_

Any suggestion appreciated

I don't think Windows Storage System was designed for installing applications just data (files,databases etc). This version of the OS is specific for setting up storage and not as an application server.
