installing SQL agent on a remote server in a workgoup

We keep our servers off of the main domanin (I'm in a NOC) and I'm backing them up with BE 9.1 and I need to put the SQL agent on a seperate server in my workgroup. It's running SQL2000 for another network app and not BE. If I attempt to install it remotely it fails its login even though I give the \\server-name. I have also tried installing it via the BE CD with the install but I'm a bit confused with that because I just want the SQL agent and not another BE installation.

your help will be appreciated.

Sorry for the question, but, isn't AOFO tge open file agent? I need to install the SQL agent.

Remote Agent you need to install. The License on the MEdia server will turn on/off the sql agent feature.
