Installing SQL 7 onto Win 2000 Pro

I have problem installing the SQL server into my Windows 2000 Pro. The installation process always hang halway during the installation.<br><br>When I tried to start the service for mysqlserv manually, it always tell me that the service could not be started.<br><br>For your information, my computer is not connected to the network and I do not have a network card in my computer as well.<br><br>How could I solve my problem?<br>
 
There is a forum here which may better help with SQL<br><br><A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> suppose you have enough machine to handle SQL<br>Like PIII 500 with 256 meg RAM.<br>And you do realize installing it on a workstation you loose all security and half of the other important feature SQL is designed to do.
