We tested SP2 and are now deploying to all of our Servers. We have 19 Citrix client servers that were all created from the same image. I am having trouble installing SP2 on one of those 19 servers. The install gets close to finishing and then it throws an error and prompts me to click Ok to uninstall and go back to SP1. I tried installing about 6 times from a network share and from the microsoft update site. The erros I get System Log are as follows

Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 installation failed, leaving Windows Server 2003 partially updated.
Service Pack 2 installation did not complete.

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8007f070: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (32-bit x86).

Nothing very descriptive, I know. The Event IDs are 20 and 4374. I searched for anything I can find on those errors and tried a number of things that have not helped. Has anyone encountered a problem installing SP2 and how did you fix it?

Thanks.

I saw this page yesterday when I was searching around for answers. I glanced at it and couldn't make heads or tails of his directions for step 2 and 3 so I guess that's why I didn't bother to persue it. I understand he is saying to unregister and register some dll's in that folder, i just don't know which ones.

Ok, well I took this guys advice and unregistered and registered every dll in the wbem folder. as well as executing wmiprvse /regserver and winmgmt /regserver and my install is still failing. I might just re-image this box.
