Installing Solaris 7

Due to a recent merger we acquired some servers from another company, I need to install Solaris 7 on one of these servers, but I don't know the root password. I put in the cd and ran boot cdrom, but it responds with boot: command not found. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

do you have the ok prompt. if yes a good guy have disable the boot parameters in eeprom..borrow a bootable harddisk with the same system and boot the device and login as root. Check eeprom command
