I am treing to install software over the company network. The original sofware came on 2 separate disk that were burned to a single DVD. The software was put on the network and I am currently trying to install it . I can start the installation without a problem but when it gets to the part where disc 2 is required I cannot poin the pc to the software. he pc is telling me to insert disc 2. Any help out there. I am stuck on 68% installation.

put the 2 disks back on to 2 disks and use the DVD as an archive. Some programs aren't meant to run over a network, plain and simple.

silly questions:

1) Did you try SUBST?

or

2) Did you try mapping the drive?

--> It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's an OS update patch! Ahh!! <--

Mapping often works. Sometimes copying the CD to the local drive also gets around this.
