I need some functionality from Sharepoint services that I cannot get when I installed MS SQL Express edition. I am trying to install Sharepoint to use a MS SQL server that runs on the same server. I installed sharepoint and then ran the administration configuration. I created a web application and then a site but that page cannot be displayed. I believe I am missing a step somewhere along the lines of confiugation on a stand alone server running MS SQL. I have ran across some documents but they dont explain this specific installing method that I am trying. Only farms and single server installs using MS SQL express. Any ideas?
