I've done it I'm an end user. I was at MM3.1 SP6 and I went to SP12. It was really easy. I just followed the guide that came with the service pack. I had to do my MSS, 2xMAS, and web client servers.
Are you on a windows platform and if so, how are you handling the windows updates? Avaya's website does not show any information with regard to this. PLEASE advise.
at my company the windows team places all patches on my W2K3 boxes. I always ask for an exception to all reboots as I reboot the boxes monthly during my maintenance period. If I remember correctly, I've only seen 1 Windows update that caused problems with MM. And that was several years ago. Go ahead and patch away.
