I am attempting to install SP6a onto a new build of NW5.0 server.

I extracted the NW50SP6A file on the sys volume, it created an NW50SP6A folder, and expanded the files. I did this by browsing to the sys volume from a windows machine, double clicking on the file, and it expanded out automatically. If this isn't correct, someone please explain the proper way to do it (I am a novell newbie)

I then go to to NWCONFIG and go to product options>install a product not listed, hit F3 to give it the path of sys:NW50SP6A and then it errors stating it can't find file "sys:nw50sp6a\startup\icmd.nlm".

I am not sure what I am doing wrong, and why it's looking for something in the nw50sp6a\startup folder, since expanding the nw50sp6a file didn't create that folder.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here's what I always do...
Create a folder called NW50SP6A and copy the NW50SP6A.EXE file into it. Expand the file from here. Like you said, it will create another directory called NW50SP6A within the existing NW50SP6A folder.

Now, when you go to INSTALL, tell it to look in SYS:\NW50SP6A\NW50SP6A.

See if this works for ya!

Good Luck!
