Hello,

I was trying to upgrade RPM on Red Hat 6.2 and have managed to completely break and de-install it! Bad I know..

I downloaded the source for RPM 4.1 and did a tar -xvf <rpm4.1....>.

This seemed to unpack files to various directories, not a single directory to do the usual make make install. I cannot find any documentation on how to install RPM from scratch.

Can anybody help me... I'm pretty desperate here!

Thanks
