We just purchased two IBM P6 P550 and we are creating 3 AIX Lpars and 4 Linux PPC Lpars. The AIX installation was successful. However, when we try installing RHEL AS 4.5 the install gets to the boot: prompt and just sits. When you enter the message is - can't get <device_type> for device: please wait, loading kernel.....:linux,/vmlinux: unable to open file, Invalid device. Has anyone successfully installed Linux PPC on a IBM Power6?
