Hey everyone,

I am hoping to turn up and test a new PRI circuit on an existing Norstar with 4.1v S/W and 6 port NAM, Copper DID's. Will I have an issue running my existing Copper's for one day following a PRI turn up, different DID range's??

The customer insists on having the PRI turned-up and tested on Thursday but cannot have the DID's ported away from the Copper's until Friday late.

Will I have any conflict? My thought is no, especially because I am testing inbound portion of PRI with test numbers off Target's that are not in use with the Copper's and outbound shouldn't play into the mix. Seperate entries into the switch(Digital and wired), I think I have all bases covered.

Thanks.....

FIRST I WOULD NOT PUT A ISDN PRI ON 4.1, YOU NEED TO UPGRADE TO THE LATEST. 4.0 AND 4.1 HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH PRI.
OTHER THAN THAT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE YOUR BASES COVERED

PERRYPJ,

I agree with you, but the customer is in a huge cost cutting mode and would not consider that at this time.

well i would get that in writing because the negatives far outway the costs of the upgrade

You should not have any problem with the DID's but I do agree with the others on the 4.1. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones and everything will work fine. But take luv2's advice otherwise you might spend alot of time on site chasing problems and you know who the customer will blame it on.
