After installing PCPro, I get an error upon launch.

It says: "Failed to process the activation. Will quite the application."

And then you click on OK and it just closes.

Obviously, I am missing something. Any ideas?

Try running as Administrator(right click, properties, compatibility tab).

It should run on your operating system. It has to load some programs in windows. It usually loads them automatically. Try reloading it and make sure you have an internet connection. Windows needs to be updated with the latest SP. And it needs .netframework updated.

I verified I am updated to the latest SP and .net framework version and I tried running as admin.

I still get the same message.

What version is the PCPro? Is your WINDOWS 32 or 64 bit? I think the early versions of PCPro were not 64 bit compatible. Have you tried running it in XP compatible mode?

I do have 64-bit and yes, I have tried running in compatibility mode. The install DVD says version 3.0.1.0

Version 3.xxx is not 64 bit compatible. 64 bit was introduced in version 6. Either load it on to a 32 bit PC or get version 6 or higher and load that on to your 64 bit PC.
