I have a Dynanet (Lucent) PCM card that I am trying to get running on NT SP6. Stick the card in and it sees the device. Put the CD in it won't find the driver. Run the utility and it puts a COM5 port on, but then the modem doesn't appear as a modem.

Getting stuck in a loop. Can add a modem manually on Com1 but there is no option for COM5.

try copying the driver (and associated files for the driver)
from the CD to your hard disk and
then pointing it to them and see if that helps... ~KeyTech

It is not a CD access problem (I tried putting it on the HD) but the OS doesn't find the driver.

How can I find what file it is looking for??

sorry I havent replyed,
anyway...

try adding an adapter from the Network N/hood and
choosing "have disk".
Then Instead of looking on the cd-rom, point it to
the folder on your hard disk and if there
is no driver found then I think the best thing to do
is get the make + model of the card and download the
latest driver for the card... Jay~

If its broken, just leave it and hope someone else fixs it!

Funny you should mention leaving it...

My work around was to run the Windows 98 restore CD! Everything works now.
