I have a notebook PC no exiting OS with provisions for either a floppy drive or CD reader, but, not both. I want to install Windows 2000 in this machine. Would installing windows using the bootdisk function, then the Cd for the remainder of the install work?

If the the Windows Install Cd is bootable, all you'd really need to do is put it in, and set the BIOS to boot from it.

If not, you might need remove the hard drive from the laptop, hook it up to another machine coy the Windows Cd contents to the hard drive place it back into the laptop, boot with a floppy, and initiate the install from the hard drive.
