Installing Oracle 9i on AIX 5.1L

Many attempts were made to install Oracle 9i Database to AIX 5.1L, with no success.

Does anyone know what precautions that I should take in installing Oracle 9i on an AIX 5.1L server?

Let me know... PLEASE...

It was my understanding that Oracle 9i does not work with Aix 5.1 yet
Oracle 9i release 2 is scheduled to be released and supported second quarter of 2002? sometime later maybe June or July I heard....

817 release 3 runs on aix 5.1 in 32 bit mode only

I may be wrong.........

You are not wrong about the 9i.
about the 817 I don't know.

Oracle announced the availability of a developer release for its Oracle 9i 64-bit database on AIX 5L.

Woo hoo... we are still working on rolling out 8.1.7, hehehe. More work for me, perhaps. Have to get rid of those 32-bit machines first.
