I have a problem installing a server with NT4.0,
It has a ADAPTEC SCSI ADAPTER for RAID 2100s, when i try to install NT4.0 it can't see my hard disk.

- The controller's utility gives me no problems, i tried to install NT with the RAID configured and WITHOUT but the problem still Persists:

- i installed the drivers for the SCSI Controller with F6 before NT installation but if i go on it says that it doesn't find the HD's.

- I know that the first service pack might have a problem with the size of the HD's (3 HD 9GB each) B-(

Please Help i can't get out of this mess...

The only time I have had this sort of problem, starting the install and selecting F6 at the detecting hardware screen has resolved it.

Are you booting from the CD and running the install, if so try with the floppy disks. Still using F6 to add the SCSI drivers before hardware detection.

Good luck

I agree with adding the SCSI drivers pre-hardware detection. I have had this problem and it is the only way that I found, whether installing from cd or floppy. Ian
